Help

Hello,

I was recently given this. I have no idea what it is used for. The story I was told was it was from Germany, but I dont know if that is true.
It also cam with a top piece that you set up on top of it with glass doors and shelves, but I couldnt get a pic of that.
My questions are. What was this used for?How old is this? Is there any value to it? It is in pretty rough condition, should I try to restore it, or have it restored?
If anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction to research this it would be much appreciated.
I can get more pictires if needed.

 Certainly is in German style but more detailed pics would help !! !!  Hardware, inside of doors, close up of front and back and the top piece !! Could be a china hutch but can`t tell without seeing top piece !!

It could be a china hutch, a side board, a huntingboard, etc.   Would have to see top and insides.
