crocus pot antique?

I won this on e bay, and was wondering who made it and if it was an antique?

It has W.F ENG stamped on the bottom....

Only one listed that used W.F as his mark was W. Fifield, a decorator in Bristol from 1810 to 1855 !!  Could be his but when you get the pot take a pic of the bottom showing the mark and post it here !! We can check more !!  He was not the maker of the pot, only the decorator which was fairly common !!

Okay thanks! I will post clearer pics of the bottom when I receive the item :)

It would be nice to own a piece that's quite old if that's the case

Have found no mark for W Fifield !! Found several references to him but no record of his work !!  Since he was the person that painted the pot and not the maker,, this does not surprise me !! I did find two other people that were looking for the same mark !! So we know he painted more than one !! Your mark does not look like a factory stamp so I don`t think it was done in a factory, but rather written on by the painter !! Will look more but so far its a dead end !!
