Old Military Issue Staedtler Mars-Precision 12 Piece Set

Hi guys i have an old Staedtler Mars-Precision 12 Piece Set (Military Issue)
I know it was made in the 1960s
I know that it is Mars-Precision No. 551 Series
Its all is fair condition for its age just wear and tear all original pieces still in the case and spare parts and original Led.
Staedtler gave me all that info but could not value it for me
So if anybody out there knows how much it was worth when it first came out and how much it would be worth now i would greatly appreciate if you could let me know

I paid about $80 for my Post drafting set back in 1964. Over the years as an antique dealer I was always disappointed with how little interest there was in vintage sets. Most every set had to be priced under $50 in order to sell.

Totally agree with Rauville on how disappointing the market is with the grand old sets.

I've got an old set I use every once in awhile , 'bout 1910 vintage & agree there's little-to-no market for such .... but condition does matter !

I'd give the set a tip-top cleaning , a wrap in acid-free tissue , just because (these tools were designed to be kept clean & lubricated) ....

On the happy side of things , old Auto-Cad programs are going down in price too !
