Fenton Glass?
« on: March 06, 2012, 08:19:56 pm »
Is all of the Fenton art glass marked somehow? I came across another of my Grandma's things its a red bowl extremely heavy-but not 1 marking on it anywhere. I will get a pic tomorrow and maybe someone will know what it is.

No not all fenton glass is marked,  Most had foil or paper label which are long gone, and the pieces that are marked fenton are usually made after 1972.

Here are some pictures of it-its more of an iridescent amber, looked red last night. And boy is it heavy!

Not sure that is a Fenton, does not have the character of a fenton piece, Looks more like what is called a Aztec Pattern.  I am a bit concerned about the looks of the color of that carnival glass piece, not the typical carnival glass color.  I will look around a bit and see what I can dig up.

I saw one exactly like it on Ebay-there's says unknown maker. Thanks for the info-just can't believe all the kitchen stuff that is still in our house that was hers. What kind of value does this bowl have if any? Seems its all priceless to me,the memories are great with each piece i find.

Is it really as old as it states in the ad it shows-1911?

I don't believe it to be that old,  Guess I will have to go look at the ad, this pattern is 1970's as far as I know.
