Hello Froum, My names Chris and I was given an old large framed woven pictue by my late Grand Father some time ago now. I am trying to locate any information anyone may have on this type of woven picture? so far dispite various serches Ive sadly come up with nothing even romotely similar. I would very much like to gain some history of this type of artifact, so any information at all from anyone would be very much appreciated.
I have attached two pictures of the scene, upon closer inspection the backing was coming away from the frame, and it appears originally this was a very brightly couloured picture that sadly appears to have been lightend through time. for example the sky was originally a vivid blue, so I can only sumise as to the brilliance of what this looked like in its finest hours.
