I have a Brass Urn but with some chinese symbols on the bottom does any one know what this is ??

My first impression is that of a funerary urn (for ashes) ....

Hi,
   Here are the general dimentions:

- Height 13.7 cm
- Bottom 6.0 cm
- Top 8.5 cm
- Width 12 cm

Does this help also do we know what the chinese symbols are ?

I think it is a cremation urn also.

Does appear to be a funerary urn !!  Yes there are some that collect them and other items but I would nave no idea of the value !! You could google "Brass Funerary Urns" and see what they are selling for !!  If you have an oriental market, either Korean, Japanese or Chinese Or even a restaurant someone there might be able to tell you what it says !! Or at least point you in the right direction as far as what country it is from !!

It doesn't appear to be antique, it looks machine made, so I think Mart is correct, that there won't be antique value but more along the lines of second hand cremation urn value for someone doing a funeral on a budget.

I'll add that these items usually have a cap/lid included , to prevent the 'dearly departed' from being/getting moreso .

The reversed swastika on its base may be a ref to some sort of 'luck' (?) .
