antique insurance
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:04:57 am »

Hi I have collected a number of antique clocks over the years. I often take them to antique fair but have only just realised they are not covered under my home insurance while they are in transit to and from the fairs. Do you know any insurers or policies which would cover this?

Thanks a lot

Check with your auto insurance. If you are in an accident they should be covered under that.

Otherwise you will have to get a rider on your home insurance.  The average person doesn't carry their antiques around with them alot (unless they are real small).

I too think the auto insurance would cover them but you may need to call the insurors and tell them,, may possibly have to get a rider on it too since the value of the antiques would increase the cost of replacing the car and they may not be willing to pay more without additional premium !!

How about some pictures of your clocks?
