You are not in the U.S. are you ??  Would be difficult to give an estimate since we do not know your market !!  No matter how well items are made,, we have so many asian imports made of bone here that value in my estimation would be $50. to $75. for the pair !! And they are unmarked so that hurts it as well !!

Well you could put a reserve on them and see what you get.

Good idea, Greenacres. Why not put a reserve on them and let the market decide? Of course, the market for most things is pretty soft at the moment, so even that might not give you a true idea about their value.

Thanks for your ideas about a value . But I dont think I would sell them for that yet . Had tip from a good friend and have also contacted the France museum off Dieppe about the items . The conservator is back the 17th  zo maybe he is able to tell me if there made there or where else .
There's also a antique shop in England who has exactly the same pair and he sells them for 1750 Englisch pounds .

So who's right or who is wrong ?

There is no right or wrong !! Just different markets !!  And because a shop is asking that price doesn`t mean they will get it !!  Shops have a pretty good mark up and they are usually are way above market values !! See if you can find what a similar pair actually sold for !! Not just the asking price !!  What you ask and what you get are two different things !!  Another thing is that shop has a pretty good following among its customers. They can sell more consistantly than you or I could simply on their reputation !! You or I as unknowns and with no customer base would have much more difficulty getting the same price as they do !!
