Did or do all hummels have marks?

From what I have read 99 percent of them have the mark of the Goebel Factory somewhere on them.  Sometimes it is a V with a bee. Some Hummels say Hummel in script like her signature. But most just have the V mark. I have a clock that say western Germany with a boy and girl flanking it that looks so much like a Goebel piece but is not marked. If you examine the facial features, however they are slightly off.

I stopped by a little antique place, before what I had decided was going to salvation army, and asked the lady to take a look. She said they looked like Hummels. There was also a German tourist in the shop that said , he too thought they were. So I left them for her to sell if she could.
However we could find no mark anywhere. The bottom or base was an open hole.
If I get anything for them it's better than the gas it would have taken to drive and drop them off. :D

Most all are signed on the base, Not the bottom but just above it !!  Have to look close or you will miss it !!  Later ones may have a mark and a label !!

Thanks mart,
Maybe I'll go back tomorrow and have a look. Didn't really look anywhere but on the bottom, assuming that's where it would be. That's why never assume, huh?

Get some clear close up shots of the piece, and I can usually tell. But yes, almost all Goebel/Hummel pieces have marks on either the bottom or along the base.
Take every price I say with a grain of salt...
