Heavy metal flask
« on: July 25, 2012, 07:39:03 pm »
I found in the back of my cupboard a heavy (about 1lb) flask it has a brass(?) oval plate on the front for engraving. The bottom is stamped "95" does anyone have any information pertaining to this flask?

Thank you!! Danisue

Looks like a whiskey flask !! Number on bottom could mean year,,  1895 !!  These were used well into the 1930`s !!  Not marked for silver but could be a thin plate !!

People always like whiskey flasks !!  Look on ebay and see what they are going for !! If I were to guess,, $20. to $25. but it is not something I check on so I could be wrong !!

Looks like it could possibly be (ex) military use.
