christopher columbus clock
« on: August 06, 2012, 07:36:16 pm »
Hi guys,
This is my first post, but I'm just wondering if i can get a hand with an issue i would like to fixed. My parents have an old heirloom that is quite precious in our family. It's an 1840-1890 Bronze Christopher Columbus clock (pictured lower), The sad part is that the clock in it currently was stolen when it was in for repairs after being damaged after it got shipped from germany. All i know about the original clock is that it was a french movement clock. Now if anyone recognises the statue or nows of any antique french clock collectors, I would love to know, as i would like the replace the current one with something like the original one was like. Now unfortunately I do not know the maker of the statue (thought i would just take a photo and try my luck), but if needed I will try and get it soon.

Any help or leads would be great.

Regards.

yeah sorry for the double post there is a reply in the other post to put the topic in this section, due to more foot traffic and more suited for the style of topic it is.

To be honest, I'm unsure, the clock was stolen awhile ago when it was still in possession of my grandma.
