Glass pedestal dish with decorative???
« on: August 22, 2012, 01:53:14 pm »
Hi again,

I have this nice little dish with a decorative design I am not familiar with.  Leaded?  Foil of some sort?  I have no idea and would love some help with this.

The bowl measures 3 3/4" high, and the bowl itself is 4" by 6 1/2"

I love this find but really would like to know what the technique is.

From the looks of it silver  During the depression era  (and earlier) they encrusted many pieces with gold , silver  & platinum like this (see photo)  I don't reconize your piece but will look around!  :) This is sterling on this piece (very tarnished)you can see sterling printed in the last photo.

Wow Wendy thanks.  Ok very tarnished sterling hmmm.  This is why I am here - thought it was the natural intended color  LOL  Wondering if there is still any worth?

Possibly a comport.

It's a pretty piece; it has to be worth SOMETHING. Probably not a bundle, $20-$40?
