Just glass candleholders
« on: August 22, 2012, 04:19:05 pm »
I am pretty sure these are just glass candleholders although they are very pretty.  They stand about 4 1/2" high and the base measures  4 1/2" in diameter.  What I would like to know is if this might be a particular design  - basically help with descriptors.  Don't want to just say glass candlesticks  LOL

Again, thanks so much to everyone who has helped me to continue learning.

Nothing is ever just glass !  ;)  Check them to see if they are crystal  They will have a beautiful ringing  sound when gently tapped with a butter knife, I'm sure they have a pattern name but that could take months to find. you could start going through ebay and hope to spot them but even then the seller may not know the pattern name.  I think ebay has around 3,000 crystal candle holders  posted last time I checked. If you are using a description to sell be sure to say it as vintage 30 -40s style  where you do not know the maker. Beautiful little pieces  :)

GORGEOUS candleholders!  Like the delicate style!!!  This style transcends generations.

Kind of piecrust outer edge to these, looks like 30s-40s as previously mentioned, pressed glass.

They really are very pretty - unfortunately no pretty ringing sound just kind of a dull tap sound.  Nonetheless pretty and vintage so that's ok    ;D
