Black pottery cats

Please can anyone tell me anything about these pair of fireside cats ....they were handed down to my mum when my nan died, my nan had these on her fireside since i was a little girl and that was about 46 yrs ago ...she lived in Kings Lynn Norfolk uk ..Would like to know if they were made local or anything about them i have searched internet for anything similar or any kind of info but not able to find anything at all.....Thankyou

since no factory mark,, i would bet they are simply inexpensive import pieces !  could even be someones hobby work !

 There is a mark indented in one of them it looks like a figure of eight but not quite finished....

there is what looks like 384 which is probably the mold number ! and could be initial P for the decorator !

Mart i'm not sure they are pottery to me ..how do you tell if they ceramic or what they are white inside if that helps...look right inside and there is something raised from the head like a D shape very strange not noticed that before...but in the other one there is nothing it is perfect .....

Still hoping to find someone who can tell me anything about these cats i have been searching for any information now for about 5 years....anything no matter how small would be very much appreciated.....Tha nkyou  :)
