« on: August 27, 2012, 09:57:30 pm »
I found this at a yard sale.

from what I have found through Google it is a Toledo "leverlock" knife.

I believe it is mother of pearl.

Any info would be appreciated.

I think it might be a letter(envelope) opener.

Cool little item , TinaG !

I'd say , from your images , that the handle mat'l would be horn , rather than MOP .

Tina G - I've found one for sale which closely matches yours. "Rare 1950's Toledo Leverlock. Cracked Ice Pearlux handles ......."    offered for sale at $350.00.  Apparently a collector type knife rather than a utility knife.  Spanish in manufacture, as the name implies.  Those Spanish blades are quality.  I bought a Model 1860 Cavalry saber as genuine, stamped with the Ames trademark and everything.  Turned out to be a Spanish made fake.  Almost fooled the experts.  "Almost" is the key word in the phrase. But that's quite a yard sale find.

Oh how wonderful! Thanks for all the great info!

I've been unable to find much about it on my own.

Truly appreciated!
