Carnival Glass not much joy
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:06:37 pm »
Today l went to my local auction with some glasses to sell. This auction house is specialised in glass.  He took one look of my early Fenton Persian Medallion bowl just said carnival glass does not sell. In fact he said they stop take in pressed glass with exception of Lilique type of glass. All is not lost as one small 2inch perfume bottle with silver cap turned out to made by Thomas Webb and price at £80/100. Not bad as l bought it in a job lot sometimes ago which l did not even notice it being there.

Beautiful piece!  I can picture someone snapping this up and using it as a focal point in a modern, monochromatic decor. Makes you shake you head and wonder. ::)
