When, items like this come up, with people looking for information....it would help us a great deal, if we knew where you were from, and where the item was bought....Now i don,t mean we want your street address but knowing the area or city/town would be an advantage...because in this instance ,this screams a local artist at me....Local to where????...you could be in "Timbuktu" for all we know....help us to help you....
I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,

Well said Bigwull!!! I find this to be a very soulful piece and the subject screams American Indian to me.

I agree on the subject...The first thing I thought about was an Edward Sheriff Curtis portrait.

Rauville It does remind me also of Curtis's work, with a modern twist. I love his photos he captured so much pain, pride and loss in just a still photo of the Native American People.  Like Bigwull said Need to know where you are from smashlock and where you got this piece.

I did not find an artist with that signature !! I even checked engravers for that name !!  Since it is an 8X10 most common size used I would guess the artist is local but from what area,, i have no clue !!  The most common scenario,, and lots of artists do this,,he made prints of this work to sell at festivals, county fairs ect !! Thats why there are not many in this series !! Only 125 made and this was #46 !! What I would do is start looking in the phone book and calling around !!  You might track him down in the same general area the print was found !! Its an excellent piece !! Hope you find him !! Come tell us if you do !!
