This is over 100 yrs old. It's getting dark here and it doesn't do this transome any justice. Red, green, blue and pink.

If it looks that beautiful when it's dark, it must be stunning in the light!

I have to admit. . . stained glass is my first love. . . the colors are so vibrant and rich!  I went to a glass craft and bead expo last year and found that a large, prominent producer of glass here in the U.S. is using the same "recipes" that they did in the 1800s!  Of course, I know (or I think I know) that BigWull will remind me that we, upstart young "Colonists" do have the really wonderful old stained glass that they have in Europe!

I love your window!

I've had a lifelong love of stained glass windows. Most of my older relatives lived in homes that had them and the warmth and beauty made a great impression on me.

Over many years I have collected a trunk full (and more) of materials that I have dipped into occasionally to turn into wall hangings depicting stained glass windows. I've also been compiling an album of stained glass window pictures for inspiration  ;)  Now that I'm finally getting shed of excess junk and the remains of four grown children's "can I leave this with you" I'll finally have the space to get to work on all the projects I am aching to complete.

This is the only one I took pictures of before I sent it along to it's new owner as a combination baby blanket/wall hanging.

No.......so far all my grandchildren have four legs and fur. ;)

It was for an online friend out west who shared a love for the 'old' stuff. Rather than use a cotton or linen backing I made it with an inner layer and backing both of flannelette.

Now that I have lots of pictures to refer to I hope to have more inspiration for detail and color.

Oooo, Greenacres!  It's gorgeous.  I LOVE to be able to get good picks of beautiful windows.  I can't draw to save my soul. . . BUT I am (I hate to boast) but KILLER on a computer!  I can take a picture, such as that one, change the scale and then using a dynamite program for stained glass, turn it into a pattern (including all the knots/joints)!  It really helps when one is graphically challenged!  It's absolutely beautiful.  Looking through it makes a rainy day wonderful!  Thanks for sharing!
