Wood Wine Cabinet

Hi
i have a solid wood wine cabinet (not sure what type of wood) which holds 41 bottles of wine, has 2 draws and a pull out tray

I'm just wondering if anyone may know anything at all about this cabinet.. when I've been looking at wine cabinets I've seen some for £100 and others for £3,000 and they don't seem to be much different in look and antique wine cabinets and non antique cabinets :S

so if anyone knows anything about what type of cabinet this may be that would be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum Nicolex8!

If you could take some close up pics of construction methods, i.e. screws, dowels, joints, shots of the hardware (hinges, clasps, pulls) and a few showing the wood/grain........those would all help members give you a better idea on age.  Are there any labels or markings on the piece? (check the back, inside and if possible, underneath)

Would also help if we can get a pic of the top part with all the barware removed !!  It looks pretty new as in "not antique" probably mid century or later !!

I noticed a gripper catch, on the left hand door and its mate on the underside of the top....now it can be roughly dated from the design of that catch....as for age and value....well, i think its a bit older than yesterday...as ghopper thinks .....it looks to be well made....but i need to know if there have been any composite materials, used in its construction...i.e. a pic of the back...from the back....a pic of any screws or fasteners,a close up of that gripper catch....both pieces...if its possible....

the past week has been pretty hecktic :S

Thank you all for the responses.. i'v took some more pictures, we've beed decorating the two rooms so it was abit hard to take pictures as the wine cabinet is in the hall with pretty much everything else

becuase everything is packed in the hall i couldn't really look round the back proply, i'm sure i had a look last time though..i think, and i couldn't find any names or anything.. i don't think i've ever looked underneath though

This looks like either mahogany or rosewood, the catch is 60,s/70,s the hinges are cranked hinges....to allow the doors to open further than 90deg to the sides....i don,t think it worth a oodles, of dosh, here that is,...but over on the other side, judging  from what seems to sell over there...then it would be worth more oodles...i like it a lot...and if i saw it for sale at around £200/400...then i,d have to think twice...
