Over here you were able to get a potato cooked in resin...pine resin (rosin) that is.
I would imagine they are still doing it somewhere yet, but I remember the Cracker
Barrell Restaurants featuring them years ago. The inviting smell was the first thing you noticed when you walked through the door. The potato was served on your plate wrapped in butcher paper...and was simply the best tasting spud you could hope for.
