pirate chess set

Hiya i am just wondering if anyone could give me information about my chess set. I saw this in a second hand shop for £6!!

I sense a bit of identity crisis here...either by yourself or by your civil war chessmen....their all Pirates..Oh er me shipmate.s!.,...and there most likely resin...to test put a hot pin in the bottom...if it goes in there resin....

For 3 quid..you can,t go wrong.., and if you stuck them on ebay...they would sell...for a good bit more...their quirky and buyers like quirky things....

Ol' Guy digressing here again...
Over here you were able to get a potato cooked in resin...pine resin (rosin) that is. ;)
I would imagine they are still doing it somewhere yet, but I remember the Cracker
Barrell Restaurants featuring them years ago. The inviting smell was the first thing you noticed when you walked through the door. The potato was served on your plate wrapped in butcher paper...and was simply the best tasting spud you could hope for.
