which has the crown with the N under it.

It comes with a certificate but its in Italian Ive uploaded a picture of it so if any one can translate

OK  I am going to just bite the bullet here !! This is not exactly my area,, but I think that what you have is one of their "seconds" !!  It is imperfect and many do sell them at less than the top quality would sell for !!

"This article and completely handmade according to the ancient tradition of Capodimonte"

Personally the combination of the above translation plus the English "Made in" would indicate a reproduction meant for export. Let's wait till some others weigh in.  ;)

Maybe someone will give a more educated opinion than mine !!  This is a pottery piece with the porcelain flowers and is not the quality you would expect !!  Top rim is uneven , stamp is poorly done,,  !!!!

Basically I see a cross between Majolica and Amphora style here, which would count for the folkart looking item.  As for the backstamp, never seen a capodimonte stamp like this either, so would have to say it is a modern piece tourist item from italy at one of the many Capodimonte authorized factory.  The bottom does have a unglazed rim which does make it appear old, but tag and back stamp would say other wise, I have a book that has many capodimonte marks and this one is not in the book.  This is all speculation of course.

Hi guys I thank you all for all the info you all have been very helpful.

I guess from what is being said this item is not of any value  :-[
Like most of you have said the backstamp does not help Ive also search the net and couldn`t find this one either.

My next question is there any one who can translate what it says in Italian on the certificate into English (sorry for being a pain)

Many Thanks to all for taking the time out to help

The thing about Capodimonte is,, since it is a region and not a brand as we know it,,some use the name to sell less than quality items !!  And if thats where the pottery is located,, they can do it !!  Learning the marks will help you determine which of the many capodimonte pieces are worth buying !!
