These were real popular early to mid 1900's...however they even had them in Victorian times.  Would have to see closeup of construction.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

I'm in Florida. I have a picture of the back on my original post. I have attached close ups and a picture of the bottom. I forgot to mention that it rotates 360 degrees.

If you are in Florida,, that explains the wood it is made of !!  Did you buy it locally ??   Sorry for all the questions but it helps to track it down !!  Any additional info is helpful !!

I have looked and cannot find anything comparable to this stand !! Would have to guess at age because there is nothing to indicate when it may have been made !! My guess would be 1930 or 40 !! But its only a guess based on the fineness of its appearance !!  Pecky Cypress is a rather expensive and rare wood today !! May have been less so back then, the curved part looks like mahogany, and saying that makes it even more rare because you can`t find any with a blend of woods !!  It may have been custom made for someone !!   Value is difficult too because we don`t know who made it !! I would bet it had a cover of some type on that bottom to keep it from scratching furniture !! Probably just felt or similar and it has come off !! I would say it may be worth around $300. or more just given what we know !! If we could assign a makers name,, could be higher still !! Its a very nice stand !!
