Our thoughts and prayers are with all being affected.  So relieved to see word from you guys on the east coast. Any word from Frogpatch, Mart?  I watch the newscasts from the time I got home from work last night. Totally horrifying. Stay safe everyone.

Having problems with the internet. Fully it's working. Trying to read the news. What a mess! 17 people died I read. My prayers go out to those families. It's so cold no heat and no electricity. This could be a long wait. I think the Jersey Shore and New York got hit the worst from what I see.

I was absolutely floored when I read this list of the state by state effects of Sandy. The scope of this storm is incredible. I can't imagine the efforts it will involve trying to recover.

Great to hear!  Our friend lives in lower Manhatten and has been out all morning helping neighbors.  Reported the Electric Company is already in full motion for making repairs.  States all around have sent teams, etc....  This was a view a friend of his posted this morning as seen in Lower Manhatten

Glad to hear. Where live is bad. I walked around to assess the damage. We probably won't have electric for days. To many down trees and wires. Thanks to my trusty little labtop or I would go nuts! It's funny I'm like a trained dog with light switches. Even though nothing is working, I keep flicking them on when I enter a room, lol

Still haven`t heard from Frogpatch !!  Getting worried here !! I see that he lived in Brick township and that is one of the hardest hit places plus a gas fire this morning !!  Last PM said that he had run down to the beach a few minutes earlier so I know he lived close to it !!  Anyone that is on Facebook or Twitter might check and see if he has been on them in last couple of days !!
Haven`t heard from Wendy either since the storm headed her way !!

I heard the strom has slowed down. I heard the news in a while, but got my electric back today. I'll check.

Glad to hear so far that everyone is ok.  Wish we would hear from frogpatch. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this storm.  Such devastation - sad.

Not yet !!  Glad all is at least OK with you Wendy !!  Hoping Frogpatch and his wife are in a shelter somewhere !!  I don`t know about that area personally,, but just know he was minutes from the beach and haven`t seen anything in that area that was good !!

When last I heard from him,,that was his plan !!  Thats why I am concerned when no word is heard since the storm !!
