"crowned R" stamp????????

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting here and I'm very new to the world of antiques and welcome any feedback/advice anyone has to offer!!

I have a "Pierre Roussel" commode with "P Roussel" stamp and a "Crowned R" stamp. ( see picture )

Does anyone know what the "crowned R" stamp means??

Its a nice commode,,, not too sure about the others !!  They don`t look antique !!  Vintage,, maybe !!

At the bottom of the pics were Zena the Warrior Princess (not antique), a mermaid (possibly antique)....   LOLOL

Guess I am not seeing the entire signature stamp which would be extremely odd for a professional....her e is what is typically on the pieces if they went to the trouble to stamp them!!!!! http://elogedelart.canalblog.com/tag/black%20lacquer


Also, there are typically 3 other initials on the pieces if found stamped.  Did you find any other markings/initials?  However, there were lots of inconsistencies.

I would suggest you send pics to Christies because if this is truly an original, they will be interested!  Any major auction house would!  I would be they would need a hands on to verify authenticity.

No Bigwull,, I clicked on his links !! Just tried another and a few ladies were there !! How to get any man,, and such !!  LOL  They were the ads at the bottom of his links !!  Someone has to pay for these free photo sites you know !!  Can`t believe you didn`t look at least !!

I am going with KC on this piece !!  Get it verified at by someone that knows what they are looking at,, not your corner antique shop !!  Christies would be good or any major auction house !!
