I need some information on this pin/medal.

My great uncle left me a box. Inside of the box, there is a smaller box.

The small box is green and red swede on the inside, with a circle patch that reads "THE M.C. LILLEY & CO COLUMBUS OHIO MANUFACTURERS OF MILITARY AND SOCIETY GOODS".

Inside of this smaller box, there is a medal/pin...the front of the pin reads "FREDERICK FARMER BEE" and the back reads "Presented By STORY LODGE No4.A.F AND A.M. TO F.F. BEE P.M. Nov. 19TH 1895". The bottom of the medal is marked "COIN".

Underneath the small box, there was a small leather pouch. Inside of the leather pouch were two pieces of paper. The smaller piece has cursive handwriting that is hard to make out, but I can definitely make out "F.F. Bee" and the word "Provo". There is also a stamp on this smaller paper that reads "RAWLINS".

The larger piece of paper reads "STATE INSANE ASYLUM AT AGNEWS" "This is to certify that FF Bee was discharged from this Asylum on the 19 day of July A.D. 1896" The paper is signed by a medical director and dated 1896 (189 is printed, but the 6 is filled in with pen).

PICTURES - You can use these as a reference, but I'll apologize in advance for the quality, my camera is a potato. At least you can make out the shape.

What sort of information did you need? Here's a random page I found for FF Bee.

If the bottom of the medal is marked Coin, this would mean it is made of coin Silver 80% Silver.

All the above is good work!

There is in fact a Story No4 Lodge in Provo and here is their site!  History
Story Lodge No. 4 – The First Lodge Chartered by the Grand Lodge of Utah

You can write to this lodge for more information if you want.

His Father was Samuel Bee (11 children) and family history of how they came from England

Also refer to page 56 and it shows Frederick Bee as a leader at a meeting Oct 8, 1872
with Robert Bee (his brother) as Worshipful Master, Frederick Bee as Junior Warden.

He also had a son who died 7 days after birth Fredrick "Freddie" Bee

I'm still here. As far as I know, I'm not related to the guy. I've never heard of him.

I have a guy offering me $175 for the badge, is that a good deal?

Anyone have any idea what the value for something like this would be? My uncle left me plenty of things with sentimental value, but this is not one of them. I have a guy offering me $175.

Well, keep in mind that we couldnt see it very well,, may be gold plate over coin silver but that would not be uncommon !!
The way I read the items,, is that this person may have been a friend of your grandfather, and was given to him as a keepsake, or they were members of the same lodge and he died before this could be awarded to him !!
Either way,, I don`t think that would be a bad price for a masonic pin !!  But see what some of the other members say !!

I don't know much value wise about Freemason paraphernalia, but that seems like a good price to me.
