So 30 lbs. (don't have the proper currency sign on my keyboard) is about $50.00? Oh yes, he could do better than that in the U.S.

I've found that people will more likely call them a "buffet" if it has a high "backboard" on it. Higher than say 6" or 8".

If I'm buying ..... I don't care what they call it. ;D ;D

@Bigwull - I'll cross the pond to buy you a pint. Do they sell Bass there? McEwans? So many pubs, so little time.

(If you go to the "Character Map" on your computer, you can find the ££££££££££ mark...along with a few hundred others.)

Back to the sideboard: Even in my area, a "Gründerzeit" influenced design like this would probably be sitting in a shop priced at $400+.

Ahha...You're smarter than I am if you can run a Kindle. ;) I gave mine away when I got an Ipad for Christmas (which it's beginning to look like today, with our first snow of the season).

Yes we have McEwans.Heavy ale..then there,s Special..then we have 80shilling...90shil ling...these are cask conditioned ales..served at the cellar temp.these are all around 4% by vol...we also have Tennants, lager, Skol, and a lot of imported beers...i prefer Stella Artois..@5.2%...you can get Skol special ale..@ 10.5%vol....but its a bit too heavy....

At auctions here Mart...big dark pieces are just not selling...I.m going to an auction tomorrow...and i can guarantee i,ll fill my van with oak tables/chairs,beech,pine,..for less than £50...and it,ll keep me in firewood for a month...here,s an example of one on ebay at the moment...the one i chopped up was similar...this one here might fetch £20 ..if its lucky...

You have got to be kidding ??? Its a little darker and chunkier than what you find here but would still sell easily here !!

Sorry but shipping to U.S would cost a small fortune !!
