2-arm Wall Sconce Candle Holder - Iron & Wood
« on: December 10, 2012, 11:13:16 am »
I found this thing at Goodwill and want to find another one.  Again, not concerned about the value... I have no idea what it is exactly, what style it is and how to search for another one.  Thank you for looking!

The only marking I found was a tag on the back (pictured below).  I knocked the tag off accidentally and taped it together.

Okay, this looks alot like what I have seen in the market in the DFW area since the 1970's.  If you live in the Dallas area....I believe there is a large Mexican Market in Garland and one in lower Dallas (south of 30) that you might be able to find similar ones at.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

Yes 1970s "Spanish Provincial" or "Mexican rustic." Very little to no value.

Little or no value, perfect!  Maybe I can find one easily for cheap.  Is this thing ugly or do I have a weird taste?

This style is VERY desired in New Mexico and southern Texas!

I know in this area they call the style southwestern....but I can't find any under that.

I don't know how much you want to invest, but if you forwarded a photo of your fixture to a good blacksmith I'm sure they could turn out anything you desired.
