If I have seen the M.R correctly on this piece, it isn't that of Manoah Rhodes & Sons. They don't have periods. Theirs is M R inside two conjoining circles. The other one MR over CR..haven't been able to find out when they stopped business...but they have 4 initials not two. There is an unidentified M.R that shows up on pieces but I cannot find out whot M.R is...the London Assay office would be the only one to truly identify this.
The date mark of the script S was similarly used in 1778...but would not go along with the uncrowned lion...so 1933 is correct.
Note: On this page which shows pieces with the London Assay mark and Makers Mark...it says there are two pieces that they have seen with the M.R mark and the stamp dates of 1926 and 1928...so it is highly plausible that this is the same maker.
