What is this?

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting! Im hoping you all can help me.  I do foreclosure work and have been finding lots of interesting things.  I found this item the other day, and am stumped as to what it is.. The inside is green glass, and the outside is wrapped in what I believe is leather, it has a made in italy stamp on the bottom.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

most likely a wine flagon..the made in Italy suggests it is relatively young...probably a tourist buy...

About the same here under $20. !!  But its still a great find !! Anything covered with leather is good to me !!
