Interesting Book Story.
« on: January 20, 2013, 03:16:50 pm »
When I decided to take in my last dog "Butch" I was recommended to purchase "Fatal Dog Attacks". The book was written in 2002 for $19.99. I purchased a new book for $80.00 about 3 years ago. It had a hole in the back. A good version then was $150.00 on Amazon. My sister was in from L.A. and I was showing her the book. She has been working with dogs. I went on Amazon. Today a new book is $380.00. As my rescue person said "I wished I purchased a ton of them when they were in print!". "What an investment."

Butch is my Bull Terrier. Some people forget they fought beside our soldiers. These are 1902 postcards. This is "Stubby with his medal.

Why is such a newer book so popular? To go up in ten years like then, and even during an economic slump?

Stubby was awesome. I wouldn't mind have a pup like Stubby.
Take every price I say with a grain of salt...

Staffies here are much taller & brawnier than those in the UK that I have seen !! Shorter muzzle but much like pit bulls !! Lot of people here can`t tell the difference !!

I need some of those roadside finds myself. :D Durn weather forecast here is calling for -19 degrees tonight! I'm just afraid I'll run short of "bed warmers".

Rauville is that yours? It's so tiny and cute! Also, the book is very educational. It explains that Golden Retrivers are the most likely to bite. That there are reasons behind biting that are not told in the media. It's true facts and statistics. More people should read about the breeds they decide to take home and maybe there would be less dogs at the pound. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are things more valueable than looks, suchas, loyalty and friendship.

That Global Warming is making my furnace work overtime this morning, .......

It is now 4 AM and my thermometer dial is sitting on 7 F.

It will probably drop a couple more degrees between now and daylight.
