What era bed frame is this?

I inherited what I think is a Victorian Renaissance bed.  I have been looking all over the net and can't find anything like it.  Can anyone give me anymore information on this.  The closest thing I could find, the dealer was asking for $12,500.  Mine is not as ornate as what theirs was. The arch top sets on the headboard making it around 6.5 to 7 feet tall. The side boards are not in as nice of shape as the rest but still very usable.  At some point they were extended to accept a full size mattress.

Yes, renaissance revival ca. 1875. Do you have any photos of the arched crown piece sitting on the headboard?

Do you have a link to that $12K bed frame? I'd like to see what that looks like....

I'd say yours is worth between $500 - $1000, depending on where you are and the condition of the side rails. It's typical that the side rails would be the most worn portion of the bed frame.

These beds were typically made to be approximately full sized, so be sure to check and see if yours wasn't extended so that the inside rail dimensions are now queen sized. Queen mattresses are about 60 x 80 inches. If so, that could help the value a bit.

ghopper Thank you for the input.  I will get pictures the top and side rails this weekend.  I was using a full size mattress until I upgraded to a queen size.  I woke up many mornings with my feet hanging off the end of the bed.  But, thanks for the tip I will take some measurements this weekend.  Here is the ebay link,

Ah, now I get it. Antiquarian has top drawer stuff, and their prices reflect that. And then some!
