Silver turquoise coral ring: who's the designer/maker?
« on: February 10, 2013, 12:23:03 pm »
The ring is stamped sterling and appears to also have a picture hallmark stamp.  I've been unsuccessful in researching this hallmark, so I have once again come to the experts.  You've always been so helpful in the past I was wondering if anyone is familar with this hallmark.  It appears to be Native American in design possibly Navajo. Thank you

I wasn't sure what kind of animal, but now that you mention dog it does look like a dogs head.  However, I'm not sure, thank you

Dog or maybe wolf since the wolf is part of the culture !!  This site may have it listed !! It is not on the A page,, I looked there !!  There are many Native American jewelry makers so it may take a while to go through these !!  It has the name and his/her mark !!

They have the same hallmark as you scroll down but they're unable to identify it.  It's in a group of other hallmarks where they're requesting help in identifying them.  Thank you for the link

Native Americans have an association of sorts for craftsmen,, I will try to find the link for that later !!  You might try emailing them !!
Also look at the site that Greenacres gave on the biscuit barrel,, they have quite a few sterling Native American rings there !!  Its an estate liquidation site so may have run across one with same mark !!

I was looking at a jewelry book, and not to start a ruckus but I think the mark is French or Austrian.

I know to me too, but I didn't see the mark, so I kept reading and a similar sign came up in that area. I'll go over it again.
