And..I had enough off cut left over to make 2 x 3ft x 1ft x 2in shelves...and 3 x 1ft square chopping boards...

As our kitchen is,nt the biggest,we did,nt have enough room for a kitchen table, but as there are only the two of us,I found this on ebay...its a pull out table,it sits behind a 600mm drawer front,..and extends out to 800mm = 31.1/2in the rear part of it is slatted so that when it is pushed in it folds down the back of the unit...I saw them listed at anything up to £200...but got this one..new in the box for £25 + £8 postage...and as you can see...it fits in nicely...The floor has been covered with oak laminate...now all I,ve got to do is the Tiling on the back wall

Oh!!...I,m sure Avril would be glad to give up her chair....she likes taking the dog out.... ;D

Update...the cast iron insert and Mahogany surround have been fitted...I took near 1/2 a ton of rubble out of that wall,where the old tiled fireplace sat...I,ve fitted the living flame gas fire,and had the whole installation checked over by a Corgi registered gas engineer...as you can see it looks the dogs bollocks,Avril is really happy with it,....Now you,know Sapphire..what i was doing during the night... ;D..today i,ll give it a really good clean,as this pic was taken immediately after i fired it up...and as much as i,d thought i,d gotten rid of the dust...as you can see i did,nt....maybe it needs a woman,s touch.... ;D

I think Avril is likely more than happy with it!  It's absolutely gorgeous!  You're going to have to put that camera on video setting when you're all finished and give us a 'tour' of the house  ;)
