willow pattern enamel trays

could anyone please tell me what these are they've been in the family for years and im still non the wiser.

you need to give us more info...i.e dimensions..pic of the rear..any marks at all...are the meant to stand vertically...or horizontally....do they have a stand...or little tootsies=feet..

as far as i know they stand vertically, there roughly 30cms x 60cms, the back is just blue with no markings to be seen, i really dont know much else about them

I just this on PBS! lol I think they are table screens! They were placed on tables for privacy.

that makes sense...at least its more civilized that what the French do when they are eating Ortolan Buntings...these lovely little birds..are captured when very young they are force fed in a darkened environment then when they have been fattened up...they are drowned in Armagnac..then cooked..and the gourmet diners do this when eating them....bones and all....there all pagans...

Apparently...this disgusting eating habit is not allowed in certain parts of France...and the only way they can get round the law is by ..not letting people see them eating the pare wee burdies...

The dealer sold his screens at auction $320.00. Theirs were a little more elaborate. By the way "BigWull" is that pun? :o
