Help with a tea urn I picked up...age? markings?
« on: February 28, 2013, 01:29:43 pm »
It appears Russian from all I can tell on the markings. Pretty rough shape I guess but I know nothing about it.

Any info you can provide from the pictures would be great.

Stands 19" tall with the tea pot attached.

Thanks a bunch...

It's a Samovar. It could be of some value.

You obviously are,nt aware of the meaning behind "Thanks a bunch"....let me be the one to enlighten you...
.
It's also very common to use ironically (meaning the opposite, rather like "Thanks for nothing!"), so in some circumstances you might come across as being sarcastic, especially in writing...
I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,

Wullie,, over here "Thanks a Bunch" means just that !!  Common term used by most of those younger than we are !!
What do you mean rough shape I think it looks great !!  Better than some I have seen !!  Pretty common style so don`t plan on a new car yet !!  But I like it !!

Looks like another Batashev samovar. Identified one on here several weeks ago.
