Perhaps,, but can you think of anything else that it would have sat on a coffee table for during that era ?? Women wanted pretty things,, even for that !! That was back when the Coffee Klatch and smoking was the in thing and neighbors actually associated with each other !! Was nothing unusual to call the ladies on the block (most of which were stay at home housewives and mothers) and meet at one house for coffee !! Catch up on the gossip !!
