Old Clock

I inherited this clock about 20 years ago don't really know anything about it, just wondering if anyone knows anything about it or where i could get some information from about it.
I'm located in sussex uk

We need more info Paul,This looks like an Ormolu Mantle clock,with Garnitures,If the domes are original, and they do look like it, then this could be quite valuable, It may be French, German, or English,...what we need from you is, a makers name ?,a pic of the movement, any serial numbers,...anything that can help us determine its value...

This pic,..unlike the others won,t open up,...I find in incredulous, that a Clock like this,does,nt have anything on it at all,..it has to have something,.no one   makes a clock like this without at least putting something on it...look at the base of the dome, the glass, short of dismantling the thing..there has to be something...

From a very amateur viewpoint, it appears like a typical "paris" type movement. Am I seeing the markings right, as "CH VI__ 2996"? Charles Vincenti was a French clock maker...but it's going to take someone with more knowledge to determine the origin of your impressive set.

Can you please expand on who you inherited it from...where they were located...history if any please?!

May I also add caution.  We are looking a photos and some items require a hands on inspection to feel and see quality of items.  If in fact this is a Vincenti (later 1800's)...you will need to have it inspected hands on to make sure it is an "original" and not a reproduction.

Here is one of the Vincenti marks....  They were very proud of medals earned and would note them on the plates!

So many times on the plate you will find the mark of the retailer, importer/exporter, etc.

That's who made the movement the full mark is Ch Vcne, the number being an early one and dating this around 1875 - 1880. 8 day movement striking on a gong - would be nice to see it with that circular cover off

I'd like to see an image of the porcelain and decoration.
