At Auction
« on: May 03, 2013, 11:38:54 am »
We are just back from the viewing at the auction...there were,nt many pieces  that caught my eye...apart from this lovely cabinet,,,its made of Rosewood..with boxwood inlays and stringing,.it sits on 4 x brass and porcelain castors,.its from the mid 1800,s as there is a brass presentation plaque on it which tell the date it was presented .1847..but i think it is a bit earlier...its approx 4ft high x 18in deep.x 22in wide.the Auction estimate is £60/£80...not a lot for such a nice looking piece..
I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,

Any chance you can take a look at the lock for me, see if there are any marks ? Or the back.
Or ask them to !
