Meant to get back on this yesterday but the weeds in my garden were calling !!~  Perito in Spanish means expert or specialist,, there is also a town in Italy called Perito !!  Found only a few proper names and they had nothing to do with bronze !!    Have you scratched the bottom a tiny bit to see if there is another color under the bronze ??

The only Perito I could find was a mid 20th century orchestra director who worked with mainstream folks like Don Knotts. Nothing about bronze, although your piece looks 20th century.

I have seen a few of these that are busts of some of the classical composers, Beethoven, Bach, Handel, ect !!  Beethoven was a popular one !!

Not sure about the name because you have a capital T amongst lower case letters there.

Yep. Looks fairly recent, I'd say value is negligible.

Thanks for the replies, still no further forward, its defiantly bronze heavy and cold, same as my other bronze's, I thought it was better than gift shop/souvenir piece, quite good definition......... .

Totally agree with Mart about these were often of composers and were proudly displayed by students/musicians!
