Antique 50 Cal Ammo Box
« on: May 23, 2013, 02:30:13 pm »
Hey guys,

I bought a 50 cal ammo box today at an antique shop. It's in pretty rough condition but there are not many items like this around my area. I paid $30 for it. I'm wondering when it would be from (it looks to me like it's from world war 2) and I'm also wondering what it would be worth. Hopefully I got an alright deal on it. If not I'm pretty happy with this buy anyway.

Forgot to post the pics. Posting now.

Thanks
Kevin

Yeah, it's WWII. Think you're price was about right.

I still use them. They are great boxes for storing your "stuff" in...as long as you remember to put the pin / ring in the latch. Otherwise you soon find out the short coming of the design, when the lid pops open after you pick up a full one.
