Antique Christmas Tree Stand (Lights Up)
« on: May 24, 2013, 09:44:37 am »
I am wondering how much this would be worth. It is from the 1940's, it's lost a bit of paint but still has its original wiring, works great. Any value at all?

Thanks
Kevin

Thanks for the links, the antique dealer I bought it from told me it was from the 40s.

If you can,t see that wiring....then you do indeed need to get your eyes tested,...its got the old style wiring...2 separate strands

Same wiring as the old flame bulb tree light strings. Cloth covered. Great piece of vintage Christmas. It could be late 40s but it looks 50s to me.

Mart, if you still want that pic I will get one ready. I haven't been on the computer as I have been working a lot to fund my new hobby! Sorry about that!

looks like 18 oatcake wiring....but i suppose its ok for the US where the voltage is half of what we have....over here that wiring would disintegrate...+ we have more amperes...thats what kills you..not the volts,
