Need more detailed pics,,lid off,, lid on,, size,, where did you get it and what were you told about it if anything ???   Need all info !!

I'm thinking late 18th ?

Why the wax stamp / seal ? Chinese items had to have the wax stamp on them for export at one time but from what i can see, the " letters " on the seal are English ?

It is, it's a Chinese " jian ding " seal for export purposes.

I'm not sure what type of material it is it kind of looks like leather but hard like wood it measures 3" x 6"

No signs of a lid at all....this is really bothering me, I can usually figure out quickly on my own what something is, I was going to put it on ebay but I have no idea what to call it  ???  ;D
