As Wendy already said above: every Hummel bears the inmold "M.J. Hummel" signature. There is no exception, simply because it was part of the contract between Goebel and the Convent. Issuing Hummel figures without the signature would have meant cheating on the Convent and you can imagine how that would have been taken as the area was strictly catholic. It would have ruined Goebel. That is the reason even firing or glazing tests carry the impressed Hummel signature, Goebel did not want to push their luck.
