Has anyone ever seen this before?
« on: June 13, 2013, 10:14:48 am »
I acquired this Mid Century Modern piece through a barter.  I haven't been able to find it on the internet.  It measures 28 inches wide x 18 inches deep (w/legs) x 24 inches high.  Any information on it would be greatly appreciated.

No names or tags are on it.  I wish there were.

Eames Era? or Danish? Love the table. I'm sure someone will find it or know.

no worries about tags....a table like this will sell itself.....if this was in an up market gallery...i dread to think what kind of a price tag it would have.....i really like....maybe because there is,nt a lot of burning in it..... ;D

All the questions above as well.

If this is solid wood....this could be worth $$$!

Do the legs rotate or are they affixed?

I got the table through a barter for an upholstery job.  She didn't have a background on it.  Each leg is attached by three screws from the inside of the table.  It is solid wood.

Late 50`s  to early 60`s !! Agree with all !! The Scandinavian designers were the most innovative and certainly would look there first !! Has a flying saucer look from the side view !!  If you can tie it to one of the better designers of the period,,should do very well !!

Is the top a different color wood?  Seems so from the pic.

i noticed that too, the legs look like they might be beech....or at least another pale hardwood,...the top looks very yellow...like Oregon pine....or something similar.....

It reminds me of a Babyfoot / Table football table. Even the three holes on the side look familiar, as if taken from something.

Could be a home or studio workshop job.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct.  The attached picture of the underside pretty much confirms it.
It's still a cool table.
Thank you for your advice.
