Brass coal box?
« on: June 15, 2013, 01:41:16 am »
I've had this box for over 2 years and I have always wondered what exactly it is. I looked up brass boxes and a few similar ones came up. But I thought I would come here and get some expert opinions on it and possibly a value

Thanks
Daniel

UInfortunately...it looks to be missing its metal liner...i.e. metal box that is removable....it protects the wooden outer box...these don,t have a lot of value, although it may depend on where you are...up here in Scotland....i,ve seen these go for as little as £10...at auction....here,s one that,s on ebay....that price says it all....

I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,
