I have a print by Hovsep Pushman, called When Autumn is Here. It was copyrighted by The New York Graphic Society in 1942. The University of Illinois, bought the original in 1940, and commissioned the NYGS. to make prints( unauthorized by the artist himself) This started a lawsuit By Pushman with the NYGS, but he lost as the copyright, at that time belonged with the owner of the artwork. This was overturned after Pushmans death in 1966. I have not found any more information on this. The NYGS told me that they did not have records as to how many of this print they made. The university of Illinois did not reply at all. I was wondering what value this has, besides historical. How can one price such , when there is so little information out there? Any comments?
