The closest recipe to what I make is this one.  I, of course, add a couple cloves of garlic!! We make with bacon, ham, leftover meat, or not meat at all!!!

Fresh Corn Salad (par boiled corn removed from the cob, tossed with chopped red onion, cilantro, celery, tomato, poblano pepper, S & P!

Stuffed Tomatoes

Believe it or not, Tomato Basil Sorbet!!!  This is closest to what we have had

I probably have a version of all those except the sorbet !!  I need things I can make and can !! I have already made all the obvious, picante sauce (twice) regular stewed, spaghetti/marinara sauce/ketchup,, next I guess will be BBQ sauce !!
Going to try the pie with corn !!  That's my kind of cooking !!

Did you get any green tomato relish made up?  Yummmmm

Have you ever made Tomato Preserves?  Tomato Jam?

And with the 100+ temps we have been having...sun dried tomatoes!  :)

Ohhh Ohhhh....and Tomato Onion Soup!!!!

And this old recipe from the 1950's  My grandmother made one like this!

I do the green tomato relish or caddo relish last,, !!  Decided against the tomato preserves since it tasted same as ketchup and had the same seasonings in it,, so I threw more tomatoes in,,added a few peppers and turned it into spicy ketchup !!  Had it last night over salmon croquets and my cream style corn,, sliced tomatoes on the side !!

Pickled Red Tomatoes?
http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/08/how-to-make-pickled-red-tomatoes-canning-summer.html

I grew up eating Hot Pickled Chow Chow (green tomato relish).

Roasted Corn Salsa!  (I make this and eat it immediately but not reason it can't be made and put up!)
http://mrswages.com/page/Food_in_Jars_Roasted_Corn_Salsa.aspx?nt=619

One more thing we used to make and can.  We always loved to eat Sloppy Joes.  So we would go ahead and make the sauce and put it up in jars.  Then later in year simply brown the meat and pour it on!
