What type of table is this?

What would I call this in a listing? Besides firewood? ;)

48in across 24in tall

This is what is known as a round pedestal table.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

But don't mention that it's a "Split pedestal" base.
Those darn things can be problematic when they decide to! :D

(I just saw the dimensions you gave. I hope 24" isn't to the table top when it's assembled. Otherwise, you probably would have to put it on the next boat to Scotland.)

Didn`t notice the height !! Many of these were cut down to coffee table height !! This may have been cut down too !!

One of my clients was into western art and she had me paint a wagon train scene in the center of a beautiful oak pedestal table !!  Darn near cried when I had to cover that oak grain !!!  Gorgeous table !!

that height is not that far off what some of them are..like this one for instance...this one is 43.1/4 in dia and is 30.1/4 high

If there is holes in the feet for casters .... then its the correct height.
