nun salt and pepper shakers metal

Does anyone know anything about salt and pepper shakers?  I just purchased a pair of metal painted nun shakers.  They stand about 2.25" tall.

And if this is your first pair - - - - - - a very popular field of collecting - there are thousands - - maybe many thousands of salt & pappers - values are pretty reasonable for a collection, from $1 a pair at a yard sale to average $15 - $40 and up and up - and it starts with just one pair.

So whatever you paid - it's probably just right.

Then some people start fine tuning - only advertising sets, or only cats, or only 1950's - and there's dozens of books on the subject.

No, I don't collect salt & peppers - I collect STUFF.  - Best of wishes on your collection - KB    :D
